Tsinde Eco Empower is a Malawi-based circular economy and waste management enterprise that turns waste into valuable products, livelihoods and green economic opportunities. We recover, recycle and upcycle waste into eco-friendly products, including eco-bricks, biomass briquettes, organic compost and upcycled goods. To date, we have diverted over 1,000 tonnes of waste from dumpsites in Lilongwe and produced 6 tonnes of organic compost, with production scaling to 15 tonnes a month. Our work tackles waste challenges while promoting sustainable production, resource efficiency and environmental protection. We create green jobs and equip women and young people with practical skills to take part in the growing green economy. At Tsinde, we combine environmental innovation with entrepreneurship to build a cleaner environment, stronger communities and a more sustainable future.
Main sector: Waste management, recycling and the circular economy (community waste collection, sorting and trading PET plastic, and turning waste into products).
